A traditional dish served on St Barbara's day (4 December) made with wheat and often tahini, sugar, raisins, almonds, walnuts and pomegranate seeds flavoured with cinnamon, spice, orange and rosewater. It’s distributed in small bowls among friends and neighbours to symbolize good health for the children, but it’s good people eat it other time, especially in winter.
Grandpa Tassos shows how it’s done.
