Big white beans (Phaseolus multiflorus), often cooked with tomatoes as a meze, especially during Lent as γίγαντες πλακί (gígantes plakí). Some people even make them into spoon sweets.

Even bigger ones are called Ελέφαντες Three kinds hold protected (PGI) status:

Φασόλια Γίγαντες Ελέφαντες Πρεσπών Φλώρινας (Fasólia Gígantes Eléfantes Prespón Flórinas) Prespá Giant-Elephant Beans. Some of the best beans with the creamiest texture grow in the special high mountain micro-climate of the Préspa Lakes in the far northwest corner of Greece, on the borders of Albania and North Macedonia.
