A cucina povera classic made for hungry farmers, partly soup, partly aperitivo. It's made with hot water from fresh pasta, along with a few noodles, Tintilia wine, black pepper and a hot diavolo pepper—a combination that took off the chill and some say also worked as an aphrodisiac.
A sagra di Scattone takes place every 16 August in Bagnoli del Trigno.
