Fragrant biscuits made of wheat and corn flour according to a secret recipe invented in 1878 by Domenico Rossi in Casale Monferrato and named after Krumiro, a popular drink of the time. Their shape commemorates the spectacular mustachios of the first king of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, who died that year. To this day they are made in the Krumiri Rossi bakery in Casale and sold in the same red tins of yore.
