Supposedly invented in the 18th century by a Franciscan friar named Angelico (hence the friar-liked shape of the bottle, with a rope around its waist), this liqueur made in Canale combines crushed hazelnuts with cocoa, vanilla berries, cinnamon and other secret ingredients. It's a great mixer for cocktails, coffees and ice cream drinks, and useful in desserts as well.
