Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graec), In Latin, the name means 'Greek hay', even though in today's Greece it's next to impossible to find in a dish. Yet its name recalls that it was introduced to India by the Greeks in Alexander the Great’s army, along with fennel and coriander.
Sometimes called τσιμένι (chiméni).
