The tequila-inspired drink distilled on Amorgós, made from the frankósyko, the prickly pear cactus that grows wild across the island. Mekíla comes in either yellow and clear.
Amorgós is no slouch in the booze compartment; its Amorgion Winery also produces its own wines, tsíkoudia, rakómelo and psiméni rakí.
