Marco Polo Airport

Getting to and from Venice

Plan of waterbus routes from the airport

Located on the lagoon north of Venice, Marco Polo Airport is connected to the city by land and sea.

The cheapest if least romantic link to Venice is by public bus, either by the Actv Aero-bus No. 5 or the ATVO No. 35 Express bus, both ending up in Piazzale Roma. The trip takes around 20 minutes, depending on the traffic. A taxi making the same trip will run around €35.

There are also waterbus routes from the airport and cruise boat terminal run by Alilaguna (see map). They also run VeniceLink, which offers a shared water taxi service into the city, as well as private motorboat transfers.
