The Littorale del Cavallino, the 10km peninsula that protects the northern part of the Lagoon, was long known as a semi-wild place of beach, sand dunes and pine forests. There’s still some of that left, among the 35 camping grounds, hotels and restaurants. There are two ports on the littorale: Punta Sabbioni and Treporti.
vaporetto: Treporti (lines12 and 13 from Fondamenta Nove). There's also ferry every hour from Tronchetto. Punta Sabbioni is on line 12, and linked to the Lido and San Zaccaria on line 14, linking up with buses that travel up the littorale as far as Jesolo.
