Michele Giambono (c. 1420–62), painter and mosaicist, was one of the princes of Venetian retro; while everyone else moved on to the Renaissance, Giambono was still churning out rich paintings and mosaics in graceful International Gothic.
You'll find his works in the Accademia, mosaics in the Mascoli Chapel in St Mark’s, in the Ca' d'Oro, Museo Correr and Saint Chrysogonus in San Trovaso.
