Rosa Camuna is mild semi-hard paste cheese, with a soft rind that melts easily, made with partially skimmed cow's milk, with a fresh taste of the mountains. Designated PAT.
Like Silter, it is made in the Valcamonica, a long valley filled with mysterious rock etchings carved over a period of 6000 years. The cheese is shaped, like and named after, the frequently occurring symbol known as the 'Camunian rose'.
