Roccocò or rococo biscotti rings are a bit like sweet taralli, made with almonds, honey, and flavoured with pisto, lemon and orange zest, and are quite hard on the teeth until you dunk them in a glass of wine. Neapolitans have been eating them since the 14th century, when they were invented by the nuns of the Real Convento della Maddalena.
