Invented in the 18th century by a Swiss chef in Mantua, inspired by the Bavarian Kugelhupf, the 'ring of Munich' is a soft and sweet yeast bread filled with raisins, almonds and hazelnut cream, with plenty of butter and eggs, then topped with a thick white powdered sugar glaze for even more calories. Designated PAT.
