St George's mushrooms
Calocybe gambosa—mushrooms famous in the UK for being at their peak on St George's Day (23 April). In warmer Italy they are often ripe in March, hence their alternative name, marzolini. Italians like them on tagliatelle. Also known as funghi spinarolo.
