Brasadè di Staghiglione

a bit like bagels on a string

Made with flour, sugar, butter and lard, brasadè (the word means 'rings') are boiled and then baked until golden, then made into necklaces, eleven on each string. Traditionally they were distributed to poor people at confirmations.

On Easter Monday, Staghiglione (a frazione of Borgo Priolo) holds a Sagra di Brasadè.
