bottatrice
burbot (ling cod)
Also known as bòsa around Lake Garda (where it's common), bottatrice (Lota lota) looks like a freshwater cod. It's a bottom dweller and slimy, but underneath the slime it's very tasty white fish with few bones. The largest specimens weigh up to 4kg.
