Same as tostato, usually referring to bread or bread crumbs (pangrattato abbrustolito). Some other meanings:

Riso abbrustolito is fried (or baked) rice, what you do with your leftover risotto. Bro’ brusa or Brodo abbrustolito is a simple broth made from a roux. With vegetables it usually means roasted, as with that antipasto favourite peperoni abbrustoliti.
