Generally seen on menus as an antipasto or in wine bars. An affettato misto (or simply affettati, the plural) is a plate of mixed cured meats and cheeses, often served with pickles, olives, or vegetables sott'olio or sott' aceto, grissini, coccoli, fried polenta, a piadina etc.
A tagliere is the same thing: tagliere literally means 'cutting board' a cutting board is often used as the serving plate.
