What could be more sublime than angel hair pasta? 'God's hair' of course. Fideos, a pasta form extremely popular in Catalonia and the rest of Spain (rulers of Sardinia from the early 15th to 18th century) and in Mexico. Who made them first, however, is a subject of intense debate.
The Sards also make 'God's threads,' filindeu, which are naturally much longer.
