Tagliata di manzo is a thick steak, grilled very rare and sliced thin, and usually served with a salad of rocket and parmesan.
There is also tagliata di agnello (lamb) and di pollo (chicken breast). Some menus feature a tagliata di formaggi: a selection of sliced cheeses.
Sarmego di Grumolo delle Abbadesse in the Veneto hosts the Festa della Tagliata for several days in mid July.
