Sour cherries, often made into spoon sweets or juice.
βυσσινάδα (vyssináda) is cherry syrup, served in cold water, and often homemade. Some say this might have been the drink, 'waters with berries in it' that Prospero offered to Caliban in The Tempest, which took place (at least by many accounts) on Corfu.
