Homemade Cretan pasta, served with mushrooms or a spicy sauce, although the traditional recipe is with hot olive oil and garlic, butter, thyme and myzithra or feta. Also known as σκιουφικτό (skioufikto).
On nearby Karpathos the same dish is called μακαρούνες (makaroúnes).
