sea squirt
An increasingly rare delicacy in Marseille, harvested from the rocky bottom of the sea bed, violets de mer (sea squirts) have iodine-rich, vitamin-packed, yellowish-orange flesh much appreciated by aficionados on a plateau de fruits de mer.
Also known as figues de mer, bijus, patates de mer, violets de roche or according to some, as the Viagra de la mer.
