A mild and soft cow’s milk cheese from Savoie, made up of other local cheeses (à pâte fondue) with up to 20% fresh walnut pieces. It’s often eaten at Christmas. Rambol is a famous brand.
Saint-Julien aux noix is similar, stuffed with a mix of hazelnuts and walnuts, and covered with walnuts from Grenoble.
