Guignolet is a 16 to 18 proof liqueur made from guigne cherries in several regions of France. The oldest is the Guignolet d’Anjou, first made in the Abbaye des Bénédictines de Saumur in 1632.
There is also an award-winning Guignolet de Dijon and Kignez, a guignolet made in Brittany.
