Cointreau

bitter orange liqueur

Botellas de Cointreau

The famous liqueur is named after Édouard Cointreau, who in 1885 came up with a new take on Triple-sec using the zest of the bitter orange (bigaradier).

Distinguished by being less sweet than the competition, Cointreau claims to be (and many agree) the ideal ingredient for making a perfect margarita, side car, or white lady. You can take the factory tour at Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou.
