Every third Friday in October since 1973, Limoges holds a funky soul food fête called the Friarie des Petits Ventres, featuring the meat of lamb’s feet and vegetables stuffed in lamb’s stomachs.
Other delicacies, especially made for the occasion, include girot ( lamb's blood stuffed in a beef bladder, cooked in a broth, then sliced thinly and pan-fried, and deglazed with vinegar and parsley) and boudin aux châtaignes, frivolités beneventines (also known as couilles de mouton), as well potato pâté, galetous, and flognardes.
