Pietro Lorenzetti was Ambrogio’s big brother, and also an innovator, standing square between Duccio di Buoninsegna and Giotto; one of the precursors of the Renaissance’s new treatment of space. Both Lorenzettis seem to have died in Siena during the Black Death. Pietro's works in Florence are in the Museo Horne, the Loeser Collection in the Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi.
