Aeroporto Guglielmo Marconi (BLQ) is 6km from the city centre.
A monorail, the Marconi Expess links the airport to Bologna Stazione Centrale every 7 minutes between 5.40am to midnight. Allow 7 minutes (€11, €20 return).
There are also direct SACA buses to Modena’s train and bus (Autostazione) Stations eight times a day, starting at 5.30am to 10.30pm (check the website for schedules and booking info). The trip takes around 40 minutes; fares are €15 one way, €25 return.
A taxi to central Bologna will cost about €18 during the day on weekdays, plus a small fee for each piece of luggage.
The airport offers free Wifi for up to 6 hours, and has a left luggage service open 24/7. The city's tourist office, Bologna Welcome, is in the arrivals hall +39 051 6472201; besides the usual information it offers the chance to purchase a Bologna Welcome Card (open Mon-Sat 9am-7pm, Sun and holidays 9am – 4pm).
