Not the least exciting of Bologna's University Museums is this collection, begun in 1860, and anyone at all interested in geology and mineralogy might consider a visit. On display are some remarkable crystals (including sulphur and other minerals from Emilia's mines), amber, meteorites, and a collection of prehistoric tools made from flint, obsidian and jade.
