Casa Isolani is one of the best-preserved 13th-century houses left in Bologna, with one of its oldest porticos, supported on wooden beams.
The adjacent Corte Isolani, a charming covered street with a string of little courtyards, dates from the 1450s. The Isolani family, which traces its origins to the Lusignan rulers of Cyprus during the Crusades, still owns both today, and they have restored the Corte as an arcade of shops and cafés.
