Where matadors in suits of lights once battled raging bulls, shoppers now prowl. The Centro Commercial Arenas de Barcelona finally opened in March 2011, preserving the bullring's handsome façade on the outside; inside are 126 shops, 12 state-of-the-art cinema screens, 14 restaurants, offices, a gym and a spa, a jogging track just under the dome and an outer walkway for 360-degree views over the city and Montjuïc.
On one side is the popular Parc Miró, on the other a multi-storey car park.
