Madonna was once famously entertained by a male stripper in this palace of succulent roast baby lamb, on the way up to the Tibidabo funicular. It enjoys a delightful setting in the Casa Roviralta or ‘White Friar’ (1913), by Joan Rubió i Bellvé, a Modernista mudéjar fantasy with white stucco, stained glass and elaborate, corbelled, angular brickwork. Starters are meaty (ham, morcillas de Burgos). There's an atmospheric garden terrace, and as well as their famous lamb, roasted according to a secret recipe, the menu features cochinillo (roast suckling pig—must be ordered a day in advance). It’s so successful that there are now branches across Spain.
